The future of regional transit in Edmonton

A decision by Edmonton city council has signaled the end of Edmonton Metropolitan Transit Services Commission. Last week, the city pulled out of a plan for transit with the surrounding communities following years of advocating for it — leaving the partners to pick up the pieces. Global News at Noon Edmonton was joined by Paul Jankowski, the CEO of the EMTSC, and William Choy, the mayor of Stony Plain, to discuss what happens next.
