Justice Minister David Lametti commented on Thursday on Alberta’s announcement earlier in the day that the province’s Crown prosecutors would determine whether or not to pursue charges under the federal Firearms Act starting June 1, 2023. Lametti said the government would be examining the decision, saying he was “not understanding” what the province was trying to do.
