Both sides in the debate over the future of policing in Surrey are pointing fingers, accusing the other of lacking transparency. The Surrey Police Union accused the RCMP of covering the sprawling city with as few as 18 officers, while the RCMP called on the newly-created municipal force to stamp down what it calls ‘harmful rhetoric.’ Catherine Urquhart reports.
