Respiratory illness rate in Nova Scotia extremely high, especially among children

November 17, 2022
Nova Scotia’s chief medical officer of health and a top doctor at the region’s children’s hospital are painting a picture of a flu season beginning about two months earlier than usual. Dr. Robert Strang said the level of respiratory viruses could remain high for the next two to three months. As Callum Smith reports, health officials are asking people to get vaccinated and stay home when sick if possible.
