Cancer survivor talks parents’ reaction to diagnosis

Kirsten Efremov, who was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia at age 10, and squamous cell sarcoma in her 20s, spoke with Global News about how her parents reacted to her first diagnosis. She said while she didn't fully understand what was happening at age 10, she was shocked to see both her parents crying at the news and felt like she then aged "from 10 years old to 30 years old in that one day," adding once treatment began she could feel it in her body.
