Canada’s Health Minister Jean-Yves Duclos and chief public health officer Dr. Theresa Tam announced Friday that Health Canada has approved Pfizer’s bivalent vaccine targeting Omicron. The bivalent booster dose will target both the original strain of COVID-19 and the two dominant BA.4 and BA.5 subvariants of the Omicron strain.
