The New Reality: October 1
Description
October 1, 2022
As science and society continue to evolve, we are getting new options for ways to have children. Leading-edge technologies — including the use of artificial intelligence — are helping people who struggle with fertility, improving the odds of a good outcome, far beyond what was possible with IVF treatments. On this week’s episode of The New Reality, Sophie Lui discovered that Canadian scientists are at the forefront of these new innovations in fertility. Plus, the pandemic led many people to reassess their priorities in life, especially when it comes to starting a family. Fertility clinics and sperm banks have seen a rise in clients, along with online services to help find platonic co-parents for aspiring moms and dads. We look into the changing face of the family dynamic — and how these services are helping people conceive and raise children without the expectations or delays of romance or marriage.
