Bomb threat at Peterborough auto dealership

Peterborough police are investigating a bomb threat that was made to a business Wednesday afternoon. Police say officers were called to a business at the corner of Lansdowne Street and Spillsbury Drive at around 4 p.m., after the business received a message that a bomb was placed on the property. Global News cameras spotted the police presence at the Holiday Ford service. Officers evacuated the business and the OPP's bomb unit was called in for assistance. Bomb detecting dogs determined there was nothing of explosive nature on the property. The area was cleared after 9 hours. Anyone with information is asked to contact police or crime stoppers.
