Winnipeg Jets’ head coach shuffles team leadership

The Winnipeg Jets’ head coach Rick Bowness announced Friday veteran captain Blake Wheeler has been unseated from his role. Bowness said that the decision is part of “team restructuring” and the team leadership will be given to a group of players whom have yet to be determined. Wheeler has served as the Winnipeg Jets’ second captain since 2016.
