NDP’s Singh reflects on ‘limitless’ goals for Canadian health care, inspired by daughter’s name

Speaking about propping up the Liberals in federal government, NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh said on Wednesday that his party's health-care policies and his infant daughter’s name go hand-in-hand. He said her name, Anhad, translates to "limitless" and added he wants her to believe her future is limitless, along with other Canadians across the nation. "In a lot of ways, the agreement [with the Liberals] is inspired by this idea that what we want for our daughter is what we want for all kids – in fact, what we want for all people to live a limitless future, not limited by the cost of medication and not being able to afford it," Singh said.
