Quebec Superior Court judge authorizes class-action lawsuit against government over youth protection abuse

A Quebec superior court judge has given the green light for a class-action lawsuit by people who were abused while under the care of the province's youth protection system, as far back as 1950. There are around 500 potential plaintiffs who are asking for at least $500,000 in compensation, plus punitive damages. As Global's Felicia Parrillo reports, it could become one of the largest class action claims in Canadian history.
