Lethbridge mayor receiving backlash for climate change tweet
Description
August 24, 2022
The mayor of Lethbridge is facing some blowback this week over a social media post. Using his personal Twitter account, Blaine Hyggen shared the link for an article declaring “there is no climate emergency.” The response to the post has been mostly negative. Hyggen says he does not endorse the content of that article, but as Erik Bay tells us, experts say his decision to share the way he did can still reflect badly on him and the city itself.
