Trudeau says Russia’s war in Ukraine has ‘accelerated’ transition to clean energy

Following a signing ceremony alongside Chancellor Olaf Scholz for a hydrogen deal with Germany, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said Russia’s war in Ukraine has “accelerated” the transition to clean energy. He said the climate crisis means that the processes involved in initiating agreements like the one Canada has signed with Germany must be followed “rigorously and properly.”
