People infected with monkeypox should stay away from household pets: WHO

Dr. Rosamund Lewis, the World Health Emergencies programme’s technical lead for monkeypox, cautioned Wednesday that people infected with monkeypox should make the effort to isolate themselves not only from other people but also their pets to avoid potential human-to-animal transmission.
