Canada’s chief public health officer Dr. Theresa Tam said at a virtual news conference on Friday that co-operation with non-governmental organizations is key to increasing awareness of monkeypox and framing it in non-stigmatizing ways, especially as Pride celebrations are coming up. Tam also added that private companies and dating apps can play an important role.
