‘Strawberry’ supermoon rises behind ancient coastal Greek temple

A “strawberry” supermoon rose behind an ancient temple off the southern coast of Athens, Greece on Tuesday, casting its light on the marble columns of the temple of Poseidon. According to the Old Farmers Almanac, this was the second supermoon of the year, which occurs when the moon’s orbit is closest to Earth, making it appear larger and brighter than a regular full moon.
