‘I feel at peace’: Shanghai’s COVID-19 lockdown ends after 2 months

Shanghai, China sprung back to life on Wednesday after two months of isolation under a strict COVID-19 lockdown, with midnight celebrations, shops reopening and people returning to the streets. Despite the lockdown ending, there were still long queues at PCR testing sites and vaccination centres, with recent negative results and face masks required for public transportation and buildings indoors.
