During question period in the House of Commons on Monday, Conservative MP Raquel Dancho challenged the Liberals’ use of emergency powers during the convoy protests and called for transparency in the ensuing public inquiry. Minister of Emergency Preparedness Bill Blair defended the use of the emergency powers and said that the commissioner will have “very broad authorities… subject as always to lawful privileges.”
