Canada’s Finance Minister Chrystia Freeland tabled the federal budget on Thursday, where she told the House of Commons that the “global phenomenon” of inflation is increasing the cost of living. Freeland added spending on pandemic support will be scaled back. “Our ability to spend is not infinite,” she said.
