Nationwide disruptions persisted in Huancayo on Friday following Peru’s transportation protest against the rise in fuel prices. The strike of truckers has left several roads closed since March 28. Farmers and ranchers have also joined in the protests over the increase in the price of fertilizers, as well as citizens who demand a solution to the increased cost of living in the South American nation.
