Municipalities often run large fleets of vehicles, so the price at the pump is multiplied. With prices sky high, Vernon believes its fuel budget will be more than $200,000 in the red this year. Reporter Megan Turcato has more on what local governments are expecting higher gas prices to cost them, and how they plan on covering the bill.
