The parents of Humboldt Broncos crash victim received the city’s highest honour. Before the accident Logan Boulet had registered as an organ donor. After the accident his parents, Bernadine and Toby Boulet offered his organs which ended up saving six lives. More than 150, 000 Canadians registered to become donors in the weeks following the crash. This led to the creation of Green Shirt Day held every April 7 to remember the victims and continue Logan’s legacy.
