Ford announces ‘groundbreaking’ legislation for Ontario’s digital platform workforce

Ontario Premier Doug Ford announced on Monday “groundbreaking” labour legislation that would establish employment standards for digital platform gig workers. He added that it would make Ontario the first province in Canada to establish a minimum wage and other rights for rideshare app workers and others in the digital platform workforce.
