During a press conference on Thursday, Canada’s Deputy Prime Minister Chrystia Freeland said the government’s Emergencies Act has begun cracking down on trucker convoy funds through financial institutions and law enforcement and warned that more action will continue in the coming days. “If your truck is being used in these protests, your corporate accounts will be frozen. The insurance on your vehicle will be suspended. The consequences are real and they will bite. It is time for you to go home,” Freeland said.
