COVID-19: Rapid antigen tests earmarked for ‘vulnerable settings’ in Ontario

January 6, 2022
During a COVID-19 update on Thursday, Ontario’s chief medical officer Dr. Kieran Moore said the province is awaiting deliver of rapid antigen tests (RAT) from the federal government. However, he said the first tests would be used “to keep our vulnerable settings safe” – pointing for the need for RATs in hospitals, long-term care and retirement homes and other congregate settings.
