COVID-19: WHO says 70% vaccine coverage by 2022 could help end ‘acute phase’ of pandemic
Description
December 29, 2021
World Health Organization (WHO) director-general Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said on Wednesday that the organization is campaigning for every country to hit a target of 70 per cent COVID-19 vaccine coverage by the middle of 2022, which would help end the "acute phase" of the pandemic. “The key element here is we have to cover the most vulnerable parts of the population,” he stated.
