Canada on track for COVID-19 resurgence and Omicron could make it worse, officials say
Description
December 10, 2021
Canada’s chief public health officer Dr. Theresa Tam said Friday that although Canada is experiencing an uptick in the number of COVID-19 cases heading in to the holidays, vaccines have blunted the resurgence. However, if Omicron takes hold it could outpace Delta as the dominant strain, further driving infections up.
