U.S. President Joe Biden said on Monday that in case an updated vaccine will be needed to combat the Omicron COVID-19 variant he has directed the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to quickly approve the vaccine without compromising safety protocols.
