Deklan has been diagnosed with Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD), a behaviour disorder in which a child displays a pattern of combative behaviour toward people in authority. Variety provided counselling sessions for Deklan, which help him develop ways to express and control his anger, as well as effective coping, social, and problem-solving skills.
