While the TSA works to get more of its workforce vaccinated with COVID-19 vaccines, U.S. Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer urged the agency on Sunday to come up with a holiday travel contingency plan. The plan, Schumer said, must include the deployment of more TSA K-9 teams across the country and at New York metro airports, where vaccine rates are a staffing concern. He said 40 per cent of the TSA workforce is unvaccinated.
