Army Maj. Gen. William “Hank” Taylor said Monday that more than 5,200 National Guard members stand ready to respond to Hurricane Ada in Louisiana, Mississippi and Texas and Alabama. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is assessing the storm’s impact in New Orleans, he said.
