The facts of a fatal hit-and-run case on Vancouver Island are so egregious that the provincial court judge is considering imposing a tougher sentence than the one the Crown is asking for. Court heard the driver, who is now extremely remorseful and attending alcohol treatment, instantly killed a pedestrian and then deliberately misled police. Kristen Robinson reports.
