Conservatives propose anti-corruption legislation

Conservative leader Erin O’Toole unveiled on Wednesday his party’s plan to pass an anti-corruption act if elected as prime minister. He said his party would increase corruption fines to $50,000 and prohibit serving members of parliament from taking speaking fees for public events.
