During his address on the first day of Canada’s federal election campaign, NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh pledged on Monday that his party will ensure companies that “abuse the system” are “paying back their fair share,” telling reporters, “instead of putting the burden on people, instead of putting the burden on workers, we are going to ask the ultra-rich to pay their fair share.”
