Wuhan, China was undergoing testing for its 12 million residents for COVID-19 on Wednesday after the city confirmed its first domestic case of the highly-transmissible Delta variant. Wuhan, where the coronavirus first emerged in late 2019, had reported no local COVID-19 cases since mid-May last year, but on Monday authorities confirmed three cases of the Delta variant.
