Heavy hail hit the Bancroft area on Tuesday afternoon.
Treena McLaughlin captured this video of hail that began to fall around 1:30 p.m. She says the hail was so big it caused dents in vehicles and destroyed gardens.
The footage was shot on Spurr Lake, about five kilometres south of Bancroft off Highway 62.
“No major damage, but pretty scary,” she said.
The region was under a severe thunderstorm watch which Environment Canada said could include hail and even a potential tornado.
