Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava said Thursday that at approximately 4:45 p.m. local time, they had resumed search and rescue efforts following a pause earlier in the day due to safety concerns. She also said they were in the planning process for the “likely” demolition of the building while efforts continue but the decision has to be made “extremely carefully.” The number of deaths remains at 18, with 145 missing.
