Municipal beaches in the Halifax region will officially open for the summer on July 1st.
But both Albro Lake Beach in Dartmouth and Kinap Beach in Porters Lake are closed temporarily due to high bacteria levels. Jesse Thomas looks at how the municipality will monitor water quality this year to ensure all beaches are safe to use.
