Around 800 million people living without electricity worldwide: report

Being able to switch on the light is something most Canadians take for granted – but some 800-million people around the world don’t have the means to light up the dark. To celebrate the vital role energy plays in our lives UNESCO created the International Day of Light. Global’s Sharmeen Somani reports.
