Garneau accuses Iran of ‘laying the blame on low-level people’, not providing accountability for Ukrainian Airlines crash

Foreign Affairs Minister Marc Garneau criticized Iran on Thursday during testimony before the House of Commons standing committee on transportation, infrastructure and communities on the downing of Ukrainian Airlines PS752, noting the country's initial denial of involvement and accused them of "laying the blame on low-level people who operated the missile battery" with the recent announcement of indictments. He said this was Iran "not providing the accountability within the chain of command and the real decision makers."
