White House says it has ‘serious concerns’ on escalating violence in Israel

White House press secretary Jen Psaki said the Biden administration is closely monitoring the unrest in Israel and it has “serious concerns” over the violent confrontations in Jerusalem the last week. She said national security advisor Jake Sullivan also reiterated concerns about the potential evictions of Palestinians from their homes in Sheikh Jarrah with his Israel counterpart.
