Derek Chauvin trial: Minneapolis police chief says department will ‘forever’ be judged by this use of force

Minneapolis Police Department Chief Medaria Arradondo on Monday testified during Derek Chauvin’s murder trial – the officer who was seen in disturbing videos kneeling on Black man George Floyd’s neck for more than nine minutes. Arradondo said he believes the Minneapolis police will “forever” be judged on its use of force following the violent incident. Floyd died in police custody on in May of 2020.
