In February, Peterborough city council voted to create a government enterprise business to take over new and existing affordable housing in the area. The move would leave the Peterborough Housing Corporation with only government subsidized social housing, but it would also mean the creation of 1,400 affordable units. Officials from Peterborough County say they were never consulted. Peterborough County Deputy Warden Andy Mitchell joined Global News Morning Peterborough to talk about the issue.
