Dr. David Williams, Ontario’s chief medical officer of health, said on Thursday that there were a total of 359 confirmed COVID-19 variants of concern in the province, an increase of 40 since Feb. 16. Williams added that 80 per cent of the variants were either outbreak associated or in close contact of cases.
