During a briefing on Friday, World Health Organization Chief Scientist Dr. Soumya Swaminathan said the World Health Organization (WHO) had received new reports of reinfection from coronavirus variants, including initial reports from South Africa suggesting that people who’ve had prior infection could get infected again from a coronavirus variant.
