Outgoing Vice-President Mike Pence and Second Lady Karen Pence arrived at Capitol Hill on Wednesday for the inauguration of president-elect Joe Biden. Pence in recent days has stressed the importance of ensuring a peaceful transfer of power, despite outgoing President Donald Trump choosing not to attend the inauguration. Pence did not attend Trump’s send-off earlier in the day.
