World Health Organization director-general Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus on Monday called about world governments to roll out COVID-19 vaccines faster, while keeping distribution equitable, as nearly two million people have died worldwide from the illness since the pandemic started. He also encouraged all countries to fulfill their pledges to COVAX, the WHO’s initiative to distribute COVID-19 vaccines to mid- to low-income nations.
