The decision occurred just two days after pro-Trump supporters stormed the U.S. Capitol building, a violent event that politicians of both parties say Trump incited. Democrats are now preparing articles of impeachment, but Speaker Nancy Pelosi is urging Trump to resign before they start the impeachment process.
