Advocates disappointed after bail granted to former Halifax cab driver convicted of sexual assault

Advocates for survivors of sexual abuse are disappointed that a former Halifax cab driver convicted of sexual assault was granted bail by a Nova Scotia court judge this week. They say it sends the wrong message and fails to consider the plaintiff’s wellbeing, but as a Crown attorney tells reporter Elizabeth McSheffrey, granting bail is a complicated legal decision.
