Jupiter and Saturn align in the night sky

It’s the kind of event that has been associated with myths, magic and doomsday prophecies. Jupiter and Saturn are lining up in the night sky, appearing close enough together to shine as one bright point-providing a Christmas Star like-effect during the winter solstice. It’s an event that occurs once every couple of hundred years. Trent University Physics and Astronomy professor Dave Patton stopped by Global News Morning Peterborough to talk about what the Great Conjunction means for star gazers.
